The action was fast paced and exciting at the 2011 Tucson Culinary Festival. At the World Margarita Championship and at the Copper Chef Challenge everyone brought their “A” game….making it a very exciting weekend. And the winners are:

World Margarita Championship™

JUDGES CHOICE: “Tamarindo Margarita” presented by Mario Rocha of La Fuente Restaurant.
PEOPLES CHOICE: “Margarita Marinaterra” presented by Julio Blanco from the Marinaterra Hotel & SPA San Carlos, Sonora Mexico.

COPPER CHEF CHALLENGE

Chef Ryan Clark from Lodge on the Desert bested Chef Addam Buzzalini in a very close match to win the title of Copper Chef for 2011/12. It should be interesting to see who steps up to challenge Chef Clark in the 2012 bout….stay tuned.
